Beans and Apples...beautiful beans and apples

Hello Friends of Cherub (FOCs),

We had a rainy morning where we could not go out, but we learned how tall were were in apple measurements, colored several variety of apples, learned names of several different apples. We talked about big and small apples, colors, what they are good for and more.

Then we played several games we haven't done in a while like: Farmer in the Dell...it's always fun to see who the "cheese" will be, Go in and Out the Window....fun to chose the birds to fly in and out the window, Here We Go Looby Loo and it's cousin the Hokey Pokey. Both of those games encourage you to "turn yourself around" so it is theraputic also. Who knew? LOL!

This afternoon we had apple wheels....cored apples stuffed with peanut butter, then put in the frig. until firm then sliced horizontally. Plus our sensory table had 10 lbs. of pinto beans in it so we could measure, pour, shake, mix and more. It was a huge hit! Who knew that dry beans could be so fun.

Don't miss tomorrow when we bake an apple pie from scratch...can't wait...I'm on quality control!

Happy days ahead,

Miss Sue
